Hitachi Construction Machinery and First Quantum Minerals announce zero emission partnership with signing of Letter of Intent
Hitachi Construction Machinery and First Quantum Minerals and have made an announcement about their Letter of Intent to accelerate the development of sustainable mining solutions at First Quantum’s flagship mining operations in Zambia.
For technological feasibility tests at First Quantum’s Kansanshi copper-gold mine operations, including the S3 expansion anticipated for commissioning and first production in 2025, our supplying the first of its full battery, rigid frame dump trucks outfitted with an ABB battery, on-board charger, and associated infrastructure by the end of FY2023 will be implemented as part of the Letter of Intent.
