First-class service for Norwegian excavator customer
A Hitachi ZX135US-7 and two ZX225USLC-7s are being utilised by Fundamentering & Graving AS to assist with for the construction of a brand-new secondary school at Kvaløysletta in Tromsø, Norway. The Zaxis-7 excavators were supplied by authorised dealer in Norway, Nasta AS.
Magnus Eilertsen, Service Manager for Nasta, caught up with their customer to find out how the machines are helping and what the operator’s impressions are.
The Hitachi ZX135US-7 is “perfect”
Experienced operator, Robert Berger shares his enthusiasm for the new Hitachi ZX135US-7. Despite the fact it is a brand-new machine, Robert's already feeling right at home. "It's a lot of fun, I am very happy with the size – it’s looks great too,” he says."
Battling Tromsø's chilly air and frosty ground, Robert tackles the task of prepping for a retaining wall. "It’s no problem with this Hitachi excavator,” he adds. Even with 40 centimetres of snow in the area, it powers through."
Having tried various sizes and brands over the years, Robert's verdict on Hitachi's Zaxis-7 series is crystal clear.
“I notice a big difference in Zaxis-7, in comparison to previous models” he adds. “There is a bigger cabin and more space. Everything is very clear and easy to maneuver.”

Adding to their fleet, the addition of two ZX225USLCs alongside the ZX135US-7 signals a new chapter for the company. General manager, Sture Hagfors sings praises of the Zaxis-7 excavators. "Hitachi has done very well with the new series,” he says. “We are responsive to input from our machine operators, we have to keep the good ones – and there have been no complaints about the Hitachi excavators.”
