How Hitachi Zaxis-6 mini excavators just got even safer and more comfortable
The Zaxis-6 range of mini excavators has been updated with several new features. The new models, from the ZX10U-6 to the ZX65USB-6, comply with the latest harmonised standards for machinery and provide exceptional safety for operators.
Aside from placing a high priority on safety, the latest upgrades also cater to operator comfort within the cab, in direct response to feedback from customers. Hitachi Construction Machinery design engineers have also focused on improving the visibility, productivity, and uptime of the updated Zaxis-6 mini excavators.
To ensure a more comfortable workspace, air ventilation is improved in the cab of the ZX19-6, ZX26U-6, and the ZX33U-6 to ZX65USB-6. The height of the ZX33U-6 and ZX38U-6 cab has also been increased to create a more spacious environment.
The cab of the larger models (ZX33U-6 to ZX65USB-6) has a soft and wider armrest pad, a height-adjustable seat, and improved heating and cooling efficiencies. In addition, the front window opens smoothly and easily with the new power-assist function.
Easy fleet management
The larger Zaxis-6 mini excavators (from ZX33U-6 upwards) have access to Global e-Service, which provides access to location information and operational data such as fuel consumption and working hours. As well as this, optional ConSite Pocket and ConSite Shot apps can provide maintenance and machine operational information.
“We are continually improving our machines to enhance the experience of operators,” says Product Manager Norihiko Kinugawa. “While complying with the latest harmonised standards for machinery, it was also important for us to include new features that respond to the needs of our customers.”
