Introducing our new President and CEO: Francesco Quaranta
An even greater customer experience is one of the aims of new Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) President and CEO, Francesco Quaranta. Starting his new role in April, he intends to build on the foundations of his predecessor, Takaharu Ikeda.
Francesco brings more than 20 years of international experience in the machinery sector to Hitachi, and has worked in his native Italy, as well as the UK, France, Germany and Switzerland.
Speaking after his new appointment, he said he felt honoured by the trust placed in him by the company: “Hitachi Construction Machinery products and services are widely recognised as reliable solutions. I am excited to see the plans for technology expansions on such a solid product range, which will define an even stronger future.”
His arrival in Amsterdam marks a new chapter for Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe), characterised by further innovation and growth. There will also be continuity as Mr Ikeda remains as Chairman of the Management Board, while also taking on additional responsibilities: “I am delighted at the prospect of continuing to work in Amsterdam with Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe)and my broader role within the EMEA region,” he said.
Reflecting over his three years as President, he added: “It has been an innovative and inspirational period during the company’s history, with everything from our 50th anniversary celebrations to the unveiling of the first Hitachi electric excavator range at Bauma 2022.”
