An eventful year for HCME dealers
Le Dig Tour, France
Held in La Bouëxière on 30-31 May, Le Dig Tour showcased practical demonstrations for the French construction and public works sector. Hitachi Construction Machinery France (HCMF) organised Olympic-themed activities, including a skill-based challenge involving cone-shaped stands. Attendees also explored Hitachi machines like the ZX33U-6 mini excavator and ZE135 electric excavator, as well as the ZX225USLC-7 with Leica Geosystems machine control.
Intermat, France
Intermat 2024, held in Paris on 24-27 April, gathered global construction professionals to explore the latest industry innovations. Hitachi Construction Machinery France (HCMF) featured prominently with machines including the ZX26U-6 mini excavator, ZW310-7 wheel loader, and electric models such as the ZX55U-6EB. This major trade show emphasised sustainable practices, technological advancements and encouraged networking and knowledge exchange.
Hillhead, UK
From 25-27 June, Hillhead in Derbyshire showcased quarrying and construction machinery. Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK) impressed with a hospitality unit and live demonstrations, including a ZX530LCH-7 loading an autonomous dump truck. Key models like the ZX95USB-7 and ZW180-7 also attracted attention. Marketing Manager Abbi Wilson praised the event's success in strengthening Hitachi’s reputation as the UK’s leading excavator supplier.
ÖGA, Switzerland
The ÖGA trade show in Koppigen, held on 26-28 June, targeted the Swiss gardening and landscaping industry. The Probst Maveg Hawaiian-themed stand displayed machines like the ZX19U-6 mini excavator and ZX95USB-7. The event provided a relaxed setting for showcasing advanced machinery and building connections with industry professionals.
SRR – IFEMA, Spain
From 18-20 June, Madrid’s SRR – IFEMA event brought recycling industry experts together. Hispano Japonesa de Maquinaria SL (HJM) presented the ZW160-7 wheel loader and promoted after-sales services, including free inspections for Hitachi owners. This platform facilitated networking and highlighted advancements in recycling technologies.
Quarry Expo, Greece
Held on 31 May-2 June in Litohoro, Quarry Expo 2024 featured Hitachi machinery like the ZX55U-6 and ZX350LC-7. Live demonstrations showcased the equipment’s versatility, attracting up to 5,000 attendees. CEO Iris Tsouma highlighted the event’s success in creating new business opportunities for Helma.
Galiforest, Spain
On 27-29 June in Santiago, Galiforest focused on forestry industry innovations. HJM displayed machinery in action, allowing attendees to see Hitachi equipment’s real-world capabilities. The event created new connections and showed Hitachi's dedication to the forestry sector.
WAMPEX 2024, West Africa
At WAMPEX, held in Accra from 5-7 June, SMT Ghana represented Hitachi Construction Machinery for the first time, showcasing large excavators like the EX2000-7. This impressive mining and power conference emphasised sustainable practices and provided networking opportunities with key stakeholders across West Africa.
