What is the difference between ‘Used’ and ‘Premium Used’?

Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) offers a range of used models to meet your needs, with a smaller price tag than a new machine. These are offered through the ‘Used’ and ‘Premium Used’ programmes, which have something for everyone.

High-quality used machines are available across Europe from our dealer network, with a full maintenance history via Global e-Service, and ongoing dealer support. The ‘Used’ options are generally more affordable and may be a better financial option if you only require a machine for a specific task or limited use.

Meanwhile, Premium Used provides exactly what it says on the label – a more ‘premium’ model. These excavators and wheel loaders are inspected and serviced by an authorised HCM dealer and come with an approved warranty and full maintenance history. With Premium Used models, you can expect the same high level of quality as a new model.

How do the ‘Used’ and ‘Premium Used’ schemes work?

Both these schemes are available through HCM-approved dealers, who can offer machines with a range of ages and hours. Please reach out to your local HCM distributor directly with your requirements. The process is similar to that of purchasing a new product, but with a smaller price tag!

Most of our models are readily available for whenever you may need them, with a broad range to choose from.

As already mentioned, through our ‘Premium Used’ scheme you also get a significant powertrain warranty of 12 months (or 1,500 hours).

What does ‘quality approved’ mean?

To ensure that HCM Premium Used excavators and wheel loaders reach the same high standard as new machines, their quality is always ‘approved’ in advance by an experienced technician at your local dealer.

Every model undergoes a rigorous process of inspection and refurbishment, using only Hitachi Genuine parts and lubricants and according to HCM specifications. This provides you with complete peace of mind that your machine will perform optimally and reliably.

A wide range of approved machines are offered through HCM’s Used and Premium Used programmes. Through Premium Used, you’ll find any Zaxis excavator (mini, medium, large, or wheeled) and ZW wheel loaders above 125hp.
