Vital utilities projects
Operators for Battiston Vittorino snc are using the ZX210LCN-7 and ZX240N-6 excavators on a project to redesign and build new channels, directing fresh water from the Ca' Gamba basin to the Cavallino basin’s secondary drainage system.
Only a few kilometres away in San Stino di Livenza, a ZX135US-7 is performing extensive maintenance on the area’s waterways, which have been impacted by bank failures. This includes restoring the drainage network, stabilising landslides, maintaining structures, and inserting four-metre piles.
A long-term partnership
Both projects are local government projects – contracted by the Consorzio di Bonifica Veneto Orientale. The machines are supplied by Salomoni srl – the Hitachi Construction Machinery dealer for Friuli Venezia Giulia and the surrounding provinces.
The long-standing collaboration between Battiston Vittorino and Salomoni continues as the second-generation of owners for both companies take the helm – Marco, Stefano, and Roberta Battiston, alongside Marco and Riccardo Salomoni.
“We have always used Hitachi machines,” says Marco. “They are reliable excavators that allow us to work efficiently and deliver high performance.”
“They are reliable excavators that allow us to work efficiently and deliver high performance. They adapt to every operational need, both in urban contexts and on more complex construction sites.”
Defending the banks of Venice City
The company – based in Concordia Sagittaria – operates a fleet of Hitachi excavators, specialising in bank protection, piling, roadworks, and hydraulic defence projects, but above all in the execution of hydraulic and hydrogeological defence interventions of the territory.
