Italian contractor expands fleet with ZX350LCN-7 crawler excavator

Italian construction specialist Stillitano Impianti has once again turned to Hitachi, adding a ZX350LCN-7 crawler excavator to its fleet. Based in Melito di Porto Salvo, Reggio Calabria, the company operates across highways, roads, bridges, and civil engineering projects. The new machine is being used to handle aggregates and inert materials at its plant, as well as for heavy material loading. In the future, it will be deployed in quarries for aggregate extraction and on streams for drainage and truck loading.

Proven performance

CEO Francesco Stillitano highlights the machine’s reliability and efficiency. “It has been put to intensive use and has performed exceptionally well,” he explains. “The speed, power, precision in boom movements and rotation, and the stability of the undercarriage stand out. Also worth noting is the quick-coupler system, which allows fast attachment changes for buckets, grabs, spiders, and hammers.”

The ZX350LCN-7, purchased in 2023, has an operating weight of 35,200–36,500kg and is powered by a 210kW Isuzu SHK1X engine. Its cab design enhances operator comfort, featuring the lowest noise levels in the industry and 20% less vibration than previous models. The ergonomic console includes an 8-inch LCD monitor for full function control, while the Aerial Angle camera system provides a 270° bird’s-eye view for optimal visibility.

Stillitano remains a loyal Hitachi customer, previously investing in an LX145E wheel loader. “Just like our previous machine, the  ZX350LCN-7 has proven to be reliable, efficient, and fuel-efficient,” he concludes.
