How the French construction industry benefits from new used Hitachi equipment deal

Demand for used construction equipment is growing according to industry research. This is due to a range of influences, including the high cost of purchasing new machinery, increased economic uncertainty, and costly repairs and breakdowns.

This is good news for the used market as the need for high-quality machines extends from the largest mining equipment down to mini and compact excavators, which continue to be popular due to their versatility for a variety of applications.

In a response to this development, Hitachi Construction Machinery France (HCMF) has enhanced the availability of selected used excavators for customers by signing a new agreement with HCME.

A fresh approach

This agreement opens up new, flexible opportunities for HCMF to meet market demand, while giving HCME the chance to share the Hitachi Premium Used offering with the region. By working together, they aim to provide greater access to quality used equipment in France.

HCMF can now better support French contractors by offering an expanded range of used Hitachi machinery. This arrangement allows HCMF to have equipment readily available for purchase, providing quick access to high-quality machinery that suits the needs of customers.

To kickstart the programme, HCMF will begin with two popular models: the ZX85USB-5 with two-piece boom and the ZX250LC-6. These versatile excavators are ideal for a variety of applications and are expected to have wide appeal in the market as affordable alternatives to new Hitachi machines. They will be available with full maintenance history via Global e-Service, and ongoing support from HCMF, providing complete peace of mind.

Meeting customer needs

The initial launch with two units is just the beginning. As the partnership progresses, more machines can be supplied to HCMF as required. This agreement is set to provide reliable used equipment options, with the flexibility to scale based on the ever-changing French construction landscape.
