Hitachi compact wheel loader enrols at leading French vocational school
November 16, 2021
A Hitachi ZW95-6 compact wheel loader has been delivered to a renowned French school specialising in vocational training for public works construction projects. This is the first Hitachi machine for L’EATP (School of Application to the Public Works Trades), located in Égletons in the Limousin region.
The school has 90 hectares of dedicated training areas, as well as ultra-modern workshops, a fleet of 118 machines and 24 simulators. Established more than 75 years ago, the school welcomes 600 students per year from across the country.
The new Hitachi compact wheel loader will be used on L’EATP’s replica construction site, enabling students to learn how to operate it in a realistic working environment. It was delivered in October by authorised Hitachi dealer Lima TP, which will provide additional support throughout its life cycle, including the supply of spare parts.
“We are delighted that our professionals of the future will be able to experience working on Hitachi construction equipment at L’EATP in France,” says Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV’s Manager Product Management, Bill Drougkas.
“The user-friendly and low-maintenance ZW95-6 compact wheel loader is a fantastic addition to the school’s fleet. Safety features such as all-round visibility from the cab will support students as they learn to work with this type of construction equipment. The hydraulic quick coupler will also give the students an easy, fast and safe way to change attachments. We are happy to be a partner of this leading educational establishment that prioritises safety, and champions teamwork, innovation and new technologies.”
French construction companies are currently reporting a shortage of skilled workers in the industry as the demand for employees is outstripping supply. This is positive news for L’EATP students, who are therefore in a strong position to find employment on completion of their studies.
“The construction market is booming and the school’s intake is increasing year on year,” says David Verdejo of Lima TP. “Construction-related companies have a busy order book, and we hope that working with the new ZW95-6 will help all the students at L’EATP to find work and enjoy being part of this dynamic and evolving sector.”
