Notice of Extension of Working from Home or Tele-working Period and Postponement of Resumption of Normal Business Operations
April 24, 2020
In response to the Japanese government’s declaration of a state of emergency on April 7, the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group has been examining ways to further promote working from home and tele-working, which it has been promoting for some time.
The resumption of normal business operations was scheduled to begin on May 11 including business holidays, based on the Japanese government’s declaration of a state of emergency (until May 6) in Japan. However, due to the current situation, we have decided to postpone the resumption of normal operations by one week, starting on May 18. Employees who are currently working from home or tele-working will continue to perform their works from home or other.
The Hitachi Construction Machinery Group will take appropriate countermeasures in accordance with the infection confirmation and countermeasure plan compiled by new coronavirus countermeasures office and guidance from public health centers and administrative agencies in the event our employee is confirmed to be infected.
We will give top priority to ensure the safety of employees and their families, as well as our customers and other stakeholders.
We apologize for any concerns and inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued understanding.
