Super-short rear-end swing radius excavators on sale now!
Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., (president: Ryuichi Seguchi; capital: 2.219905 billion yen) has instigated a change in models from the EX27u, EX30u, EX35u, EX40u, and EX50u super-short rear-end swing radius excavators, unveiling the ZAXIS series in September and October. Specifically, the ZAXIS27U (normal bucket capacity: 0.08m3; machine mass: 2,700kg), ZAXIS30U (0.09m3; 2,980kg), and ZAXIS35U (0.11m3; 3,350kg) went on sale on the 28th of September, and the ZAXIS40U (0.14m3; 3,980kg) and ZAXIS50U (0.16m3; 4,450kg) on the 21st of October.
The U series has a noticeably slim body, and all operation systems are of the hydraulic pilot type, thus ensuring greater operability and safety. Furthermore, the right-hand side cover can now be opened and closed, allowing much easier inspection of hydraulics and greater maintainability, thereby allowing lessors, in the increasingly rental-oriented market, an unprecedented peace of mind.
This new series meets criteria set by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport for super low noise type construction machinery (the ZAXIS40U and ZAXIS50U are super low noise type), as well as secondary standards for nitrogen oxide and particulate matter emissions. In addition, the ZAXIS mini series is the first to feature the “e-shovel” function (satellite communication option), by which data pertaining to operation hours and position are able to be acquired.
The ZAXIS mini series is ideally suited to urban civil engineering works, such as water and plumbing work in densely populated areas. A sales target of three hundred units per month has been set.
Main characteristics
1.powerful engine output and a wide range of possible use.
- With the largest engine output in its class and a wide range of possible uses, this series uses a total horsepower controlled variable displacement pump for efficient output use. This of course allows a generous reserve of excavation power and speed of work, making it ideal for urban and general civil engineering.
2.A slim body that eliminates constant nagging worries about the rear-end of the unit
- The round rear makes for clean work in cramped spaces such as near walls and in one-way streets, without having to worry about what’s going on behind.
3.The “fly-out” locking lever which locks all operations, and swing parking lever.
- Raise the locking lever to lock all operations – front and swing movement, running, blade, and swing. Furthermore, it is connected to the swing parking break, thus improving safety.
4.Lower running and maintenance costs
- All front and blade pin joints utilise the original HN bush. The unique high viscosity oil stored in the bush hole reduces wear to a quarter of previous levels. Fatigue in pin joints is prevented.
- Tungsten carbide is injected into the tip of the arm to increase resistance to wear and tear in each stage thereof.
5.E-shovel function
- The e-shovel function (satellite communication option), a first among mini excavators, makes machine maintenance easy with data pertaining to operation hours and position, providing data to customers through the Internet.
6.A wide range of options with a strong focus on safety
- FOPS (level 1): TOPS-compatible 4-pole canopy and cab.
- FOPS: Falling Object Protective Structure
- TOPS: Tip-Over Protection Structure
- ZAXIS30U, ZAXIS40U, ZAXIS50U are compatible with ML crane specifications.
