Certificate of Appreciation from Joyo Bank—Contribution to Local Manufacturing Companies through its Manufacturing Industry Business Practice Training Program—

Hitachi Construction Machinery was presented with a certificate of appreciation from the Joyo Bank, Ltd. for its contribution to local manufacturing companies through its Manufacturing Industry Business Practice Training Program.
The goal of the Manufacturing Industry Business Practice Training Program, which was proposed by the Joyo Bank Group (Joyo Bank, Ltd. and Joyo Industrial Research Institute, Ltd.), is to enhance the quality of technology at local manufacturing companies. Hitachi Construction Machinery shares in this initiative. From the first training program held in August 2009 to the tenth training program held in August 2015, Hitachi Construction Machinery has been a constant supporter, dispatching employees to serve as instructors and using the Kasumigaura Institute, Tsuchiura Works, and Hitachinaka-Rinko Works as training arenas.
Up to now, a total of 165 companies and 242 people have participated in the training program. Each program offers a diverse range of themes, including welding and coating technologies, the implementation of the 5S activities at manufacturing sites, and small-group activities.
On November 17, 2015, Hitachi Construction Machinery was presented with a certificate of appreciation by Joyo Bank at a ceremony held at Tsuchiura Works (Tsuchiura, Ibaraki), which was attended by Kazuyoshi Terakado, president of the Joyo Bank, Satoshi Miyazawa, bank senior managing director, and Yoshiyuki Suzuki, president of Joyo Industrial Research Institute. The certificate was presented by President Terakado to Toshihiro Oono, Vice President and Executive Officer of Hitachi Construction Machinery.
Hitachi Construction Machinery aims to continue to contribute to initiatives for assisting the local community.
