Hitachi Delivered 14 units of the Mine Demining Equipment to Kingdom of Cambodia

On 27 June, 2005, Yamanashi Hitachi Construction Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., an affiliate company of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. delivered 14 units of ZAXIS160LC based mine demining equipment to representative of CMAC (Cambodian Mine Action Center). These units were purchased with Japanese government official development assistance (ODA).

On the same date, delivering ceremony was held at Phnom Penh the capital of Cambodia, and a total of 2000 guests including Mr. Hun Sen, prime minister of Cambodia, attended this ceremony. At the ceremony, Mr. Hun Sen delivered a congratulatory address, Mr. Takahashi the Japanese ambassador to Cambodia gave a speech, and Mr. Amemiya, president of Yamanashi Hitachi Construction Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. received a medal of gratitude from Mr. Hun Sen.

To return the country to normal, mine cleaning activity has started a new phase.
