Hitachi wins “BEST STAND” Award at Australia’s National Construction Exhibition 2005
2 Jan, 2006
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia took out the Best Stand Award at the National Construction Exhibition (NCE), held in November 2005 at Sydney’s Olympic Park venue.
A stunning display that integrated Industry activity with the latest Construction Equipment and of course, a hand full of enthusiastic staff as well. The highlight of the stand was a VIP Lounge, nestled on the back of an Hitachi AH400D Articulated Dump Truck. Climbing the stairs to the lounge afforded visitors an unimpeded view of the entire show floor as well as somewhere to relax, the luxurious hand-stitched leather couches were well received as was our famous hospitality.
National Marketing Manager, Dean Mesh said “Trophies are great, it’s nice to be recognised by the Industry for our efforts. It’s bringing the entire company together like this that really makes it worthwhile though, we do it every day for our customers and it’s fantastic to be able to do it for ourselves – just once in a while.”
Showcasing the best of Hitachi and John Deere Construction Machinery, NCE provided an opportunity for Owners and Operators from all over Australia to get up close and personal with the best we have to offer. The Excavators were the the most popular feature on the stand, with a ZX330 and ZX50U-2 representing the fleet. The ZX330 was setup with a full ICX Display which incorporated a Laptop Computer, Palm Pilot, Color Printer and a 42″ Hitachi Plasma Monitor, for highlighting the true benefits of the system to the large crowds in attendance.
Viewing platforms surrounded the cabin areas on all machines, with stairs and handrails in place to ensure the total comfort and security of all visitors to the site. It also made the task of climbing in and out of the machines relatively easy, even for those customers not so steady on their feet anymore. It also provided an access point for our staff who were handy to talk people through the controls of each machine and the points of difference over our competitors.
An awe inspiring AV display set the pace for the four day event, with an eclectic soundtrack providing the backdrop for a sea of Hitachi Plasma Monitors that grabbed everyone’s attention. A short video compilation illustrated the John Deere Loaders and Skid Steers at work building race tracks for the Australian Supercross Masters Series as well as numerous pieces of Hitachi Construction Machinery at work and play in the field.
Hitachi promotional staff were hard at work dragging the customers in and making sure they were suitably dressed for the occassion in a range of new merchandise from the company. At one stage, customers were lining up for T-Shirts and getting changed right there on the Stand !
It was a great chance to catch up with many of our customers, who were all suitably impressed with our efforts at the show. Many were pleased at our attitude towards supporting the Industry, this being the innaugural NCE event and commented at the effort we had made in providing a space that wasn’t crammed with everything we manufacture.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff who worked so tirelessly on this project and whose efforts, have made us proud.
