1H FY2014 Environmental Committee’s Manufacturing Subcommittee Meeting
On July 18, the environmental Committee held its Manufacturing Subcommittee meeting at Hitachi Construction Machinery headquarters.
Environmental site managers from seven domestic Hitachi Construction Machinery group manufacturing companies gathered together for this subcommittee meeting to exchange information on environmental activities and other issues.
Site managers reported on progress made towards the goals set in the Environmental Action Plan and discussed issues the group is currently facing. Other issues that were introduced at the meeting included new initiatives, including waste reduction measures, events with stakeholders, and the completion of new plant construction in FY2014.
The goal of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group is to improve environmental performance by sharing information on environmental activities at this subcommittee meeting.
