Environmental Exchanges with Group Companies in China

Hitachi Construction Machinery is actively carrying out dialogue with group companies to promote global environmental management.

In September 2014, members from the Environmental Policy Division visited Hitachi Construction Machinery (China) Co., Ltd. and Hefei Rijian Shearing Co., Ltd., which conduct manufacturing in China, and Hitachi Construction Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. which carries out sales and services. Information was exchanged on environmental issues and tours were conducted to observe plants and work sites. This latest exchange provided an understanding of the environmental management system and the status of activities in China, and reconfirmed the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group fs response to local environmental laws and regulations. In addition, it deepened mutual understanding through the sharing of ideas and initiatives.

Going forward, the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group plans to continue to gain a full understanding of the actual conditions and risks of group companies in regions around the world to improve our global environmental management and performance.
