Employees participate in activities to contribute to local community (Hitachi Construction Machinery Zambia Co., Ltd)

On November 1, 2014, employees from the Kitwe, Lumwana, and Lusaka branches of Hitachi Construction Machinery Zambia Co., Ltd (HCMZ) collectively carried out CSR activities.

This program, which engaged the participation of employees, is a part of the activities being implemented by the non-profit aid organization Development Aid from People to People (DAPP), which is supported by HCMZ and whose goal it is to resolve Zambia’s poverty and social issues through education, agriculture, healthcare, and the prevention of environmental destruction. The organization offers a range of programs. HCMZ plays it part not only by providing monetary aid and donation activities, but also by having employees go out into the local community, using their time to work alongside local residents.

In 2015, HCMZ is planning to host new activities in which employees can participate. Going forward the company aims to do what it can to contribute to the local community.
