Employee environmental education

The Hitachi Construction Machinery Group is implementing employee environmental education via an e-learning program, the same being used for the Hitachi Group, to teach employees about the environment and to develop an eco-mind.

Educational materials are available in Japanese, English, and Chinese. This e-learning program is being carried out at manufacturing and non-manufacturing group companies in Japan and abroad. The content includes education on environmental issues, including global warming and ecosystems, and also covers the Hitachi Group environmental vision, and examples of environmental load reduction at plants and offices. In FY2014, we aim to have 94% of all group employees complete this e-learning program.
