Reducing Water Usage (Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery (India))

Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Priv., Ltd. is reducing the amount of water it is using at the Jamshedpur manufacturing plant by revising the water supply piping system on the site.

In FY2014, we renewed our water pipelines to prevent leakage. We also implemented measures to remove unnecessary water pipes. We also adjusted the amount of water used for watering green tracts and installed auto-sensors in the toilets. Thanks to these water-saving measures, we reduced the amount of water we used at the plant by roughly 7% (7,500m³) in comparison with the previous year.

We plan to continue to adjust the level of water usage at our plant and promote water efficiency.
