Participated in the Tokyo Convention of the IFAWPCA (Hitachi Construction Machinery Japan)

The 42nd IFAWPCA Convention, Tokyo, Japan, which was sponsored by the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations (IFAWPCA), was held at the Prince Park Tower Tokyo on November 16-19, 2015. The Business Forum Program was concurrently held for two days (November 17 and 18) at the same site. Hitachi Construction Machinery and Hitachi Construction Machinery Japan held a joint exhibition at the corporate exhibition booth.
As the association hosting the event, the Overseas Construction Association of Japan, Inc. (OCAJI) held the convention in Tokyo for the first time in 20 years. Affiliate construction organizations from 18 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region and government officials were invited to attend the convention. Consequently, more than 700 members of the construction industry attended the event.
Partnership and sustainability was the main theme of the convention. Discussions were held on new business development via ties with various organizations and sustainability coupled with the capability to address global environmental and disaster issues.
Sixteen companies set up booths at the convention site. HCM’s booth utilized panels and video to showcase achievements in Asia and new domestic technologies. The booth captured the attention of many participants.
