On January 16, 2017, Work-Life Balance lecture was held at the Tsuchiura Works. The event was jointly sponsored with the Hitachi Construction Machinery Workers Union. Previously, a similar lecture was held at the Hitachi Construction Machinery head office. This time, to better promote work-life balance, Ms. Sachiko Horie, from Work-Life Balance Co., Ltd., was asked to come and speak at Tsuchiura Works. The lecture was around two hours long.

The objective of work-life balance is to generate synergistic benefits from one’s work and private life to better enjoy both. Both labor and management maintain the belief that support should be extended to employees in their work and private life. In light of this, the labor and management of Hitachi Construction Machinery jointly host this event.

The lecture aimed to give employees a proper understanding of work-life balance. It was also meant to be a good opportunity to learn about measures for dealing with common issues and methods for reviewing one’s work style. Hitachi Construction Machinery plans to continue to promote work-life balance going forward.
