In June, which is Hitachi Environment Month, Hitachi Construction Machinery (China) (HCMC) implemented environmental protection activities to raise environment awareness among employees and local residents.

On June 5, which is World Environment Day, HCMC, along with the Hefei Economic Development Zone Human Resources Association, implemented environmental preservation and promotion activities named June 5 World Environment Day. HCMC used SNS WeChat to introduce its environmental preservation activities and to hold a quiz about environmental preservation. A total of 2,046 people participated, including employees of companies in the Hefei Economic Developmental Zone.

Furthermore, volunteers conducted cleaning activities in the area surrounding the plant on June 8. This is the second year these cleaning activities were carried out. This had contributed to a substantial improvement in the surrounding environment and landscape.

The Hitachi Environment Month is a prime opportunity to undertake new environmental activities. HCMC plans to continue to carry out these activities going forward.
