Display at Higashine Environment Week 2017 (Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino)

For one week starting November 18, Higashine Environment Week was hosted by the City of Higashine, Yamagata Prefecture, the home of Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino’s headquarters.

This environment week first started in 2005, and Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino has hosted a panel display detailing its environmental activities from the very first event. The company has also introduced the environmental initiatives of its factory to visitors to deepen their understanding. Following rave reviews about its display and demonstration of eco-friendly road construction machinery first held last year, this year Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino organized a display and demonstration at the request of the City of Higashine.

Unfortunately, the weather this year was not the best, with heavy snow at times, but the more than 300 children who attended formed a line to ride the road construction machinery and take commemorative photos with brimming smiles. Also, the children watched with great interest as Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino designers explained about the equipment and took part in a live demonstration.

Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino will continue to take part in this event to increase opportunities for people to interact with its eco-friendly equipment and to deepen communication with local residents.
