Attended the awards ceremony of the 6th Contest for Corporate Activities on Biodiversity
On January 24, Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) attended the awards ceremony of the 6th Contest for Corporate Activities on Biodiversity at the Hibiya Convention Hall in Tokyo. The contest is supported by the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
On this occasion, Hitachi Construction Machinery China (HCMC) and Hitachi Construction Machinery (Shanghai) received the Judges’ Honorable Mention Award for their desert afforestation balancing forest restoration and community revitalization through water bucket relay for the future. They have continued to work on these activities in the Horqin Desert in China and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. On behalf of HCM, Kazuyoshi Kimura, Environment Promotion Office General Manager received a certificate of commendation from Wakako Hironaka, the Contest for Corporate Activities on Biodiversity’s Executive Committee representative.
There were 71 submissions to the contest and 10 of these received awards, including the Environment Minister’s Award and the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister’s Award.
