New Year study assistance activities at Hitachi Construction Machinery Songgang Xi Wang Elementary School (Hitachi Construction Machinery (China))

On January 23, Hitachi Construction Machinery China (HCMC) together with the Hefei City Youth Development Fund Association conducted New Year study and support activities for Hitachi Construction Machinery Songgang Xi Wang Elementary School in Changfeng County, Hefei City, Anhui Province.

In 2010, HCMC supported the construction of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Songgang Xi Wang Elementary School. They are continuing to support this school as part of their long-term community activities in China. On the regular visit from HCMC this time, in advance from the school, there was a request for support for 10 students who were forced to lead a difficult life due to various circumstances. We donated a grant-in-aid in addition to comfort items.

On the day, HCMC volunteers and members of the Hefei City Youth Development Fund Association, who assisted with the visit, called on the homes of two of the students who were to receive support. Later, we took part in a donation ceremony at the elementary school. HCMC donated a grant-in-aid of 10,000 RMB and several comfort items in addition to 88 new books in 12 categories for the school library.

The local government and school showed their appreciation for HCMC’s support until now, and also commented on further promoting educational activities and forming a base where children from rural areas can grow healthily. The Hefei City Youth Development Fund Association also highly praised the activities this time and was grateful for the support thus far. Moreover, motivated by this there was a message of wanting to appeal to society to gain more interest in youth public services for Hefei City.

HCMC will continue with support for Hitachi Construction Machinery Songgang Xi Wang Elementary School.
