Hitachi Christmas Village (Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia and Pacific)

Every year, Hitachi Asia Ltd. (a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd.) has been the main sponsor for the beautiful decorative lightings along Orchard Road (Singapore) during the Christmas season.

This year, Hitachi Asia hopes to illuminate the Christmas spirit even more through an event jointly organized by the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) and Community Chest (CommChest), where Hitachi Asia plays Santa to children from selected beneficiaries at Ngee Ann City on 8 December.

Hitachi Asia had invited under-privileged children to enjoy a fun day at the Christmas Village where they enjoyed free lunches, free carousel rides, received goodie bags, have printed photos taken at Hitachi’s Santa House and making Hitachi branded art and craft.

Selected few volunteers from each Hitachi subsidiary were given the task of guiding and looking after the children while they enjoyed themselves. Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia and Pacific volunteers were given a group of children to take care. There were also a juggling performance and magic show organized for the children. The children had certainly enjoyed themselves from seeing the smiles on their faces.
