Hitachi Construction Machinery Festival in Hitachinaka
The Hitachi Construction Machinery Festival in Hitachinaka was held at Hitachinaka-Rinko Works on October 21th. The weather was perfect on the day of the event. Around 3,500 visitors attended the festival.
Hitachinaka-Rinko Works, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, hosted this event as a show of appreciation to everyone it works with on a daily basis, including the local community. This marks the third time the event has been held, following 2012 and 2014. The Hitachinaka Festa 2018 was also held on the same day at Hitachinaka Seaside Park. For this reason, a shuttle bus was operated between the two venues.
On the day of the event, there were displays of the large construction machinery made at Hitachinaka-Rinko Works, including large and ultra-large hydraulic excavators and mining dump trucks. Other popular draws included the demonstration by the four-leg double-arm crawler-type excavator concept machine announced in March, along with the mini excavator test drive corner, rides in a work vehicle for high places, and plant tours on a bus or electric cart.
The charity game corner was also a much-anticipated and huge draw. The main stage featured plenty of excitement, too, including live performances by a local junior high school and a live action superhero show. The day was filled with many smiles!
