March for Babies (Hitachi Construction Machinery Loaders America)
March of Dimes is a United States nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies. They host a lively march each year which Hitachi Construction Machinery Loaders America (HCMA) employees have actively participated in for over 2 decades.
Participants in the 5k march raise money to help expand programs and educate medical professionals to make sure that moms and babies get the best possible care. The local goal is to collectively raise $200,000.
The organization provides women and families with educational resources on baby health, pregnancy, preconception and new motherhood, as well as supplying information and support to families in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) affected by prematurity, birth defects, or other infant health problems.
The next occurrence of this annual event will be April 13, 2019, in Peachtree City, Georgia, USA, and HCMA personnel will be there once again to support the cause.
