Blood Drive for The American Red Cross (Hitachi Construction Machinery Loaders America)
The American Red Cross (ARC) is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education in the United States and globally as part of the International Red Cross.
A blood drive is an event that gives community members the opportunity to donate blood in order meet the needs of hospitals. Hitachi Construction Machinery Loaders America (HCMA) works with ARC coordinators to promote the event to internal employees as well as to others in the community.
On 28th January 2019, HCMA provided a secure location within the office building for this local drive in Newnan, Georgia, USA. Employee volunteers posted message boards and sign-up sheets around the factory and office locations, and during monthly company meetings they encouraged blood donations from fellow employees.
