“Hitachi Science Class” was held at a junior high school in Shanghai to convey the joy of science (Hitachi Construction Machinery (Shanghai))

On September 24, 2019, Hitachi Construction Machinery (Shanghai) held a special science class “Hitachi Science Class” in collaboration with Hitachi High-Technologies (Shanghai) International Trade for 252 first-year students of Shanghai Huaji Elementary and Junior High School. This initiative aims to foster curiosity about the unknown world by allowing students to get in touch with familiar science to increase their knowledge and broaden their horizons.

In class, students experienced the micro world with a Hitachi electron microscope that can magnify things 30,000 times, and employees of Hitachi Construction Machinery (Shanghai) explained the working principles of hydraulic excavators and the latest hybrid power technology. Through this, they also learned about construction machinery for the first time.

In addition to this activity, China is working to create educational opportunities for children, including support for Hitachi Construction Machinery Songgang Xi Wang Elementary School.
