The Angel’s House – A nurturing home for teen girls in crisis
Hitachi Construction Machinery Loaders America Inc. (HCMA) encouraged donations from employees and friends to aid the girls of Angel’s House at Christmas season.
Angel’s House is a nonprofit organization based in Coweta County, Georgia, founded in 2000 with a mission to provide assistance to teen girls displaced due to abuse, neglect, or risky behavior.
HCMA held events to raise funds from participants sponsorship such as beard growing competition, and the most popular of all was $1 per day to wear bluejeans to work !
Thanks to employees donations, HCMA could send two full gaylord boxes of non-perishable food items and toiletries plus $500 in gift cards to Angel’s House.
Bridging The Gap – Helping needy families in community
Bridging the Gap is a nonprofit organization based in Coweta County, Georgia, founded in 2009 with a mission to provide assistance to hungry, hurting, and homeless people in the community.
BTG shared wish lists from needy children at Christmas time. To fill the lists, HCMA held “No shave November” beard competition and etc., but the most popular of all was $1 per day to wear bluejeans to work !
HCMA employees generous donations of food, clothing and toys succeeded in filling these wish lists 100%. In addition to the children’s wish lists, the employees raised enough money to provide gift cards for groceries and family entertainment for each of the needy families.
