Launched 10,000 Mangrove Plantation Project (PT. Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia)

As part of the contribution to environmental issues, Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia supports mangrove plantation project to protect ecosystems.
On July 29, 2023, in collaboration with NGO Kawali*, Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia launched the project to plant 10,000 mangrove trees in Muara gembong Beach, Bekasi where is 59 km away from their Cibitung plant. 18 of volunteer staff from the company joined this event to plant trees.
Mangrove planting is useful to help stabilize ecosystems and prevent erosion (soil is gradually destroyed by wind or rain) such as reducing the risk of flooding and disaster victims, making water clean, and providing source of food for living things around.
Expecting that this activity will contribute to reducing geological abration over the next five years, Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia will continue its efforts to preserve the local ecosystem.
*Kawali Indonesia Lestari Coalition is a Non-Profit Organization, engaged in activities and work to save the environment. Kawali aims to fight for the realization of the recognition of the right to the environment and its protection and the fulfillment of human rights as a form of state responsibility for fulfilling the people's sources of life.
