Clean-up Drive in an Industrial area (Hitachi Construction Machinery Middle East)

Recognizing the need to maintain a sustainable environment, Hitachi Construction Machinery Middle East organized a CSR Activity Initiative Clean-up Drive in Jebel Ali Industrial area in Dubai on October 28, 2023. 
The company worked together with ITOCHU Middle East LLC to carry out this clean-up drive, in line with their vision to contribute awareness for our environment, and about 50 staff members in total participated in this initiative. 

With the support of DGRADE* for the technicalities of the event such as location mapping and municipal permits, the clean-up drive has been successfully carried out leaving the area clean and free from garbage.

This event shows Hitachi Construction Machinery Middle East commitment that they value the sustainable principle of saving our natural resources and to raise awareness to the importance of environmental sanitation and cleanliness. And at the same time, promoting public awareness on waste management and environmental concerns in support of Dubai Municipality’s global campaign of Cleaning up the World.

*DGRADE is a clothing company that provides sustainable solutions by producing Greenspun™ clothing made from recycled plastic bottles and by supplying recycled flake to packaging manufactures to support a circular economy.

This event was also joined and participated in by the families of both company’s employees especially their children.  With this initiative program, these children became more aware and responsible for their environment.  This drive served as a valuable educational experience, teaching them the importance of waste reduction, recycling, and responsible waste disposal.
