Since 2003 HITACHI Short Reach Front and Chameleon machines have been critical to the success of Asia’s many underground development projects. To date over 200 units have already been delivered to jobsites around the region.
HITACHI Short Reach Front machines have been specifically developed for underground construction and demolition works. The larger bucket, short arm and lower cabin allows them to be highly productive, flexible and manoeuvrable in tight spaces. And our Chameleon machines are equipped with HITACHI’s new telescopic arm which allows for unparalleled digging depth, loading ability and power for any deep excavation job.
Typically, three to four Short Reach Front machines operate underground and one Chameleon machine discharges to ground level. This highly efficient combination provides an incredibly fast average cycle time of approximately 60 seconds.
This speed combined with HITACHI’s legendary safety and durability means that HITACHI machines are the first choice for Southeast Asia’s most demanding, time-critical underground projects.
