HMAP Attain OHSAS 18001 and SS 506 Certification

During Jan 2015 to Feb 2015, Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia And Pacific Pte Ltd (HMAP) attained three certifications: BizSAFE STAR, SS 506:2009 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
These certifications marks a milestone in HMAP窶冱 continual effort in gaining recognition by bizSAFE partners and industry; gaining business competitive advantages and providing healthy and safe working environments for employees and visitors alike.
BizSAFE STAR
Organized by the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council, the BizSAFE programme promotes workplace safety and health through the recognition of a company safety and health standards at the workplace.
There are five levels of achievements, with BizSAFE STAR being the pinnacle.
SS 506:2009 Singapore Standard on Occupational Safety and Health Management
SS 506 Certification Scheme is an Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System based on SS 506:2009 standards. The SS 506 standards emphasize on practices which are proactive and preventive rather than reactionary. This is achieved by identifying hazards, evaluating and controlling work related risks.
OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series
OHSAS 18001 is an Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems. It is intended to help an organisation to control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed in response to widespread demand for a recognized standard against which to be certified and assessed.
