Indonesia’s Dealer Hexindo Earns Second Straight Win at the Annual Technician Competition
12 May, 2016
Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia and Pacific hosted the exciting and meaningful technician competition for the 9th straight year. This year’s technician competition was tougher and exhilarating due to the fantastic performance from the various technicians who competed under scorching Singapore weather.
On the first day (28th April), participants had to withstand the intense heat and demonstrate their dedication in performing a series of diagnostic on the machines. These diagnostics performances were assessed on several criteria: safety; systematic approach; technical knowledge to isolate & confirm faulty component; service etiquette and communications with machine owner after completion of repairs services.
On the second day, participants had to complete a written exam and also pitch their machine diagnostic theory with great assurance. The finale was just as exciting as the first day, with 2 teams pulling away from the pack, resulting in a two-horse race with little score difference between them.
Finally after these close encounters, Mr. Farid Hidayat from Indonesia dealership clinched the champion’s trophy. Mr. Chris Futter, New Zealand dealership was 1st runner-up and Mr. Andrew Arnold, Australia dealership was 2nd runner-up.
We would like to congratulate our winners and participants, especially Mr. Farid Hidayat, who will be heading for the HCM competition.
